| Eligibility: | People who are HIV+ and anyone interested in the illness. Intensive services for Cabell, Wayne, Mason, Lincoln, Logan and Mingo Counties. Information for anyone from anywhere. |
| Description: | Non-profit, community-based organization with many services provided by volunteers. SERVICES: EDUCATION: Movies, videos, brochures, and presentations. CLIENT SERVICES: > Assistance with applying for benefits, both governmental and private. > Financial assistance with emergency situations, including rent, utilities and other basic necessities. > Referrals for emergency food orders. > Referrals for transportation assistance > Direct Services (personal care assistance in various settings) for Persons Living with AIDS > Assistance for Prescriptions/Medicines > Street Outreach/Education upon request > Referrals to partner agencies > Advocacy > Support groups meet on 2nd and 4th Wed. of each month, at 6 pm VOLUNTEERISM: Utilizes volunteers to operate the office. SPEAKERS BUREAU: Speakers present educational programs. |
