Each One Teach One is a program of one-on-one tutoring ava
ilable to adults. Volunteers, trained to teach adults to read, are teamed with students needing assistance. Free tutor training sessions are held several times a year. Contact us for details.
New Readers Books are available for adult learners. They are on the 9th Street side of the second floor of the downtown library, toward 5th Avenue, or in special collections at many branches. Also available are video reading programs for adults and audio/book combinations.
The Literacy Resource Center provides training and resources to affiliate councils and to persons needing assistance with literacy-related issues.
For information about any of these programs or to contribute in any way, please contact us. You can find us on the 3rd floor of the downtown Cabell County Public Library. Current office hours are 9 a.m. -5 p.m. For an appointment, call the library's phone number, (304) 528-5700. E-mail may be sent to literacy@ cabell.lib.wv.us.
