Free Notary Service

 

Cabell County Public Library and most branch libraries offer a free notary service to the public. An on-staff notary public can notarize documents for you. The notary must witness the actual signing of the document and verify the identity of the signer by seeing photo I.D. such as a driver’s license. A notary cannot notarize any document unless the person signing is present with proper photo identification.


We recommend checking with your library ahead of time to make sure someone will be there. The Service is free of charge, but library accepts donations.
