Help Turn a Page for Haiti
This summer you can help make the world a better place by participating in our adult summer reading program. By reading books you’ll help raise funds to rebuild public libraries in Haiti destroyed in the devastating earthquake of 2010.

Three Ways to Raise Money for Haiti
When you register at any library you’ll receive a booklet. Every time you read a book your booklet will be stamped. After your booklet has been stamped six times it will be displayed on our wall and $.50 will be donated to a fund to restore the damaged or destroyed libraries of Haiti.
The funds for this project are being provided by the Friends of the Library and the Cabell County Public Library. The Friends have enthusiastically pledged to contribute up to $900 for this project.
Other Ways of Giving
When you pay your library fines during the week of July 11 – July 18 you may request that $.50 of your payment go to the Haitian Library fund.
If you wish to make a monetary donation the Friends of the Library has agreed to match up to $2.00 of any donation you make. If you donate $5.00 or more the Library will recognize your generosity by displaying a special booklet bearing your name or the name of someone you wish to honor.
