The Battle of the Books

 

This summer we will be holding our popular Battle of the Books competition. The program offers children a wonderful variety of books, a chance to make new friends, and have fun competing in a tournament.

 

Each student team that participates in the Battle of the Books is responsible for reading 10 pre-selected books. For details, check this links: for grades 3, 4 and 5, click here; for grades 6, 7 and 8, click here!

 

Once a week, teams of students have fun competing against each other to see who can answer questions about the books.

 

At the end of the summer, students will compete in a grand tournament that will include teams from all of the Libraries.

 

The grand tournament for all participating teams will be held at the Main Library on Monday, July 25 for grades 3-5 and on Tuesday, July 26 for grades 6-8.  The Books for the Battle will be available for check out starting in April.
