“In what book do the characters try to outwit a giant with a riddle? “ The answer is Knights of the Kitchen Table by Jon Scieszka.
Such questions will be asked of students who read and participate in this summer’s Battle of the Books Program at the Main Library and its branches. The students’ answers will always be the title and the author of a book.
Once a week, teams of 4 to 8 students will have fun competing against each other to see who can answer questions about the 10 books provided by the library. At the end of the summer, students will compete in a grand tournament that will include teams from all of the libraries.
The grand tournament for all participating teams will be held at the Main Library on Monday, August 3 at 6:00pm for grades 3-5 and on Tuesday, August 4 at 6:00pm for grades 6-8.
