Visit with Doctor Mirage

 

It's National Library Card Sign-Up Month and the Cabell County Public Library and its affiliate libraries in the surrounding counties all have beautiful new library cards ready and waiting for patrons new and old.

 

To celebrate this momentous occasion Doctor Mirage, the wondrous magician who channels the spirit of Mike Fessenmaier, will be coming to the Main Library to perform library card magic tricks. Dr. Mirage will make library cards appear and disappear on Friday, Sept. 18 at 9:30 am.

 

Patrons can perform their own form of magic at the library every day. What else would you call it when one little plastic card allows you to borrow stacks of books, movies, and download audiobooks for free? We'd call it sheer magic.
