Once more, history comes to life in Guyandotte during Civil War Days. The 21st Annual “Thunder in the Village” will be held from Friday, November 5 through Sunday, November 7, 2010.
On Friday, November 5, the Guyandotte Library (203 Richmond Street) will begin its Used Book Sale from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The sale will continue during the following dates and times:
-- Saturday, November 6 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
-- Sunday, November 7 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Also beginning on Friday at 7:30 p.m., the Huntington Paranormal Investigations and Research group’s “Civil War Haunted History Tours” begin from the library’s parking lot. The tours will also take place on Saturday, November 6 at the same times. You can learn more about the War through the informative displays that the Border Rangers, Chapter 2580, have placed throughout the Guyandotte Library.
