Live the history! Experience the battle! Guyandotte's Civil War Days bring
the battles of Guyandotte to life each year. This year, the action takes
place during the weekend of Nov. 1 and 2.
While in Guyandotte, please stop by the Guyandotte Public Library, located at 203 Richmond Street. Our annual book sale will be held on:
Friday, Oct. 31 from 9:30 to 4:30
Saturday, Nov. 1 from 9:00 to 5:00
Sunday, Nov. 2 from 11:00 to 2:00
Also on Saturday, Nov. 1st from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., you can meet local author and historian Don Daniel McMillian. Mr. McMillian will be selling and signing copies of his new book, The Underground Railroad: Lawrence County, Ohio and Cabell County, Virginia. He'll also have some of his other books about our local area on hand.
We invite you to visit our Open House on Saturday, Nov. 1st from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 pm. Come in and rest while you enjoy free refreshments and Civil War videos.
Also during Civil War Days, the library will be presenting educational displays by the United Daughters of the Confederacy Border Rangers, Chapter 2580.
