25th anniversary celebration of Martin Luther King will be held on Monday, Jan. 17 and Marshall

University Office of Multicultural Affairs is planning a dramatic portrayal of King by Jim Lucas as well as city beautification projects in two places in Huntington.

 

There will be a candlelight ceremony featuring Lucas at 6 p.m. at Johnson Memorial United Methodist Church, 513 10th St. in Huntington. Earlier in the day, a city beautification project is planned from 10:30 a.m. to noon at Northcott Court Apartments, 30 Northcott Court, and at the A.D. Lewis Community Center, 1450 A.D. Lewis Ave. Volunteers are needed for both cleanups.
