Youth Services Programs

 

Poetry Workshop

The Marshall University Society of Poets will conduct a poetry workshop for children ages 5 and up on Monday, April 7th at 6:30pm.  The children will find out what a poem is, listen to famous examples of poems, and have fun doing poetry exercises.

 

Teen Poetry Night

Teens are invited to our annual poetry slam on Tuesday, April 15 at 6:30pm.  Read your own poems, read from your favorite book of poetry, or share your musical talents in a relaxed coffeehouse atmosphere.  This program is for middle and high school students only.

 

Family Night

Families are invited to stop by the Youth Services department for a night of fun and games on Tuesday, April 8 and Tuesday, May 13 at 6pm.  Participants can play popular game boards supplied by the library or may bring their own game.
