In honor of National Poetry Month, we will host the program POETRY IN MIXED MEDIA on Monday, April 27, at 6:00 pm at the Main Library. Area poets will read their works while accompanied by images and art projected on a screen behind them.
Most of the art has been created by the poets using mixed media including painting, photography, lithographs and calligraphy. Our guest poets include: Bev Delidow, Victor Fet, Jen Grover, Ron Houchin, John McKernan, Llewellyn McKernan, Matt Morris and Matt Wolfe.
POETRY IN MIXED MEDIA is a related program of Let's Talk About It: Jewish Literature, Modern Marvels - Jewish Adventures in the Graphic Novel and is presented by Nextbook and the American Library Association. For more information, contact Niza Uslan at 304-528-5700 ext. 137.
Also, middle and high school students are invited to attend our Annual TEEN POETRY NIGHT. Join us on Tuesday, April 28 at 6:30pm at the Main Library, as teens fro all over the tri-state read their original or favorite poetry, play a musical instrument, dance or sing in a relaxed coffee house atmosphere. Refreshments will be served. For more information, contact the Youth Services Department at 304-528-5700 ext 141.
